It is important for the police units to clearly show the different functions.
The tactical markings were created to show on the back, i.e. in the view of the respective command, where, for example, the paramedic or fire-fighting squad is located.
Let’s consider that during various operations, police officers from all over Germany are pulled together, so it is easier to keep an overview.
Dark blue or black materials are usually used as basic materials.
Later, coloured materials such as fluorescent yellow or warning orange were added.
The inscriptions are mostly made in retroreflective material, i.e. silver-coloured, but sometimes also white or black and therefore not reflective.
The attachment of these tactical markings usually works with Velcro and fleece connections, the sizes vary depending on the federal state, but mostly 220 x 220 mm.
Flame retardant products are also used in very special special units.
