In the past sword knots were classically worn with epees and sabres.
In the course of time the use of epees and sabres has more and more decreased but the traditions have also established themselves.
So it is quite common to continue using sword knots, e.g. in Switzerland as well.
The sword knots produced by us are exclusively made by hand. We offer different shapes:
– small round tassel
– big round tassel
– small oval tassel
– big oval tassel
– open tassel
The materials we use are usually aluminum wire or copper wire which has sometimes been silver-plated or even gold-plated.
Laces and round cords which are also produced by us are used for attaching the sword knots.
Elaborate sliders or even higher quality so called boots which are fixed at the tassel mould provide artful endings.
All military authorities in the world which are still using cut and thrust weapons actually cannot get past our sword knots.
