The ribbed tapes are textile products that are manufactured in “ribbed weave”.
In the standard version, this means 12 double weft per centimetre, so a moiré finish is possible at any time.
We have different qualities for different purposes.
We speak of a light quality, a standard quality and a heavy quality.
Furthermore, we are able to carry out various other numbers of shots, especially with ribbons for small rosettes or other awards we are also able to work 18 double shots per centimetre.
There is no limit to the variety of ribbons. Mostly the ribbons have vertical stripes or are single coloured.
In special cases, angles, crowns, diagonal weaves and the like can also be made from the different qualities.
The materials frequently used are artificial silk, these can also be varied with metallic bronze, silver or gold coloured stripes, so that award ribbons for the fire brigade, German armed forces and similar official authorities are created.
Ribbons made of cotton material are certainly possible, but in comparison to artificial silk they have a much more matte appearance and are therefore relatively rarely used for service awards
