Laces and braids
Laces and braids are still very popular with fashion companies and are used as decorations in various ways.
The main characteristic of laces is their composition of warp and weft.
Warp yarns often consist of natural fibres, weft materials are mostly leonic mylar threads (metallic or metallized yarns) or wires.
Braids, on the other hand, are made of a variety of spun yarns on automatic looms and are mainly used as trimmings or decorations of fabric edges.
They can have coloured patterns or appear as figures on a narrow ribbon made of mylar threads (cordonnets or twine) with more or less cutouts.
In our production plant, they can still be produced on traditional looms as well as on modern, electronically operated automatic looms.
