Fringes are mainly used for embellishing and decorating shoulder wings, elaborately crafted flags and pennants, magnificent epaulettes and sash tassels.
The fringe is produced on a twisting fringing machine by turning the stem until it has the required length. As for cut fringes, the double length of the fringe is made and the cordonnet used for the fringe stem is cut in the middle. This means that the cutting edge of cut fringes remains open. The bridle tape is an important part of the fringe, necessary to attach the fringe to the corresponding textile. We are also able to produce the classic bridle tape which allows for perfect integration on high quality flags, music stand cloths, epaulettes and similar products. The materials we use for producing fringes range from polyester to cotton, viscose, mylar threads and even to precious gold-plated or silver-plated copper wires. Wrapping the fringes for epaulettes is particularly labour-intensive. The stems have to be turned individually by hand either on wire or on thread. The individual stems are then woven together to form a bouillon fringe Convince yourself of our efficiency! |
